Tuis can be very territorial, even aggressive.
Tui is defending his favourite flowering tree, getting very noisy and chasing other birds.
On the 21st of March 2022, a severe storm battered Auckland's region.
Tui got projected in our 1st-floor window and died.
Tui was respectfully buried next to his favourite tree, a red bottle brush (Callistemon citrinus).
