fountain pens
Designing fountain pens for myself is fun.
It's an immersive process that requires creativity and allows me to personalize every aspect of the pen.
Each pen reflects my personal style and preferences and sometimes personal history.
The satisfaction of using a fountain pen that I designed myself adds a special touch to my writing, making the process both enjoyable and uniquely personal.
Kharon’s pole
Kharon is the ferryman of the Greek underworld who transported the dead across the Styx.
Kharon would transport the dead on a boat using a barge-pole,
This pen is inspired by this pole and by Dante.
Tusk
I have designed this pen as a reaction to ivory trafficking and to the massacre of elephants, rhinoceroses, etc.
Hence the ivory (Elforyn) material and the blood colour.
Snake
I have designed this pen with childhood memories in mind.
The colour is close to the “orvet (*)” I was playing with as a kid.
Also dragons and stories.
The snake clip is coming from an heirloom pen that has completely perished.
(*) Orvet = slowworm (Anguis fragilis), a legless lizard.
All pens have been fabricated by Peter at Dryad Pens in Coronet Bay, Australia.
