monotypes

A monotype is a printmaking technique that produces a unique, one-of-a-kind print.

Unlike other methods where multiple copies can be made from a single matrix, monotypes usually yield only one impression.

I have been creating large-format monotypes using plexiglass and various materials such as ink, glue, sand and wax.

My monotype work focuses primarily on scripture as a gesture, emphasising the act of creation rather than communication.
